A Book By: Emily Dickinson

There is no frigate like a book To take us lands away, Nor any coursers like a page Of prancing poetry. This traverse may the poorest take Without oppress of toll; How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!

Blog Post #6 - Melanie's "Who's the hero of you book..?" - April 7, 2011

My character archetype is from the novel Blood Feud By: Alyxandra Harvey. The character I have chosen to use, is Isabeau St. Cross. She is a French Hound Princess. She is covered from head to toe in battle scars and tattoos from protecting her home and her people. Her mother and fatrher were killed when she was sixteen years old.  She always puts her life on the line to help and save someone else.  She is a leader and has a lot of courage.  She takes pride in her scars and shows them because of this. She is not afraid of other peoples remarks or thoughts. She is also very adventurous and always knows what she is doing. If a situation occurs where she doesn't know what to do, she always comes up with a plan that will work out no matter what happens. She reminds me of the hero of the novel. She could also be a mentor to other people, she influences a lot of people in her tribe because of her determined attitude.
